The Princes of Monte Carlo are possibly the most versatile band on the Teesside music scene; not only do they perform an array of Classic and Contemporary Rock & Pop Covers as well, if not better, than most of the established Rock Covers bands currently on the Circuit, they also write & perform their own hard edged funky Blues Rock.
Having had the pleasure of working with these guys on several occasions, I can honestly say it truly has been a pleasure. The band really know their stuff, and because of that they're one of only a handful of acts that are a dream to work with. If setting levels and walking away wasn't good enough, they compound it all by being arguably the best gigging band on Teesside right now. Front man Tony's vocals soar like few others, while he is more than ably backed by Russ on Bass, Shaun on Guitar, and the peerless Chris on drums, who is absolutely fascinating to watch.
I can't rate these guys highly enough. Their dedication and professional attitude shines through. We had them booked to play at a venue and unfortunately 2 of the band were unable to play. However, rather than canceling the gig, they performed as a duo and were absolutely fantastic; in fact they got more gigs from the back of that performance.
The Princes of Monte Carlo are consistently excellent whether they're doing a Covers or Originals set and well worth making a point of seeing them play live.
Check them out at their MySpace page.
