3 Foot Ninja - EP
3 Foot Ninja are a young three-piece from North Yorkshire, and serve up five driving slices of high octane posi punk on this, their debut EP.
All self penned songs by brothers Jordan & Joseph Bell, they owe a lot of their sound to such punk luminaries as The Clash, The Angelic Upstarts, Dead Kennedys and more prominently, Spizzenergi. And no bad thing either, and is quite a welcome change in the wake of a seeming dearth of "nu-punk" bands that have recently appeared on the local music scene.
Highlights are the opening track "Sixteen's Legal" and "Cardboard Cutouts" which has had considerable airplay on Bob Fishers BBC Tees radio show.
The brothers, along with drummer Sam Power, are a tight knit outfit and are superb at what they do, and along with fellow punks, 4 Mile Drive, are undoubtedly one the best bands on the Teesside gig scene.
If you're into punk, then you'll love these guys.
