SugarstoneSugarstone - MySpace Page

Sugarstone is a 4-piece band from Teesside formed in the mid 1990s. With 2 albums, a single and EP to their name Sugarstone has a rich catalogue of first rate original material.

Shrug - MySpace Page

Shrug Shrug are local quirky anti pop heroes. Veterans who refuse to lie down. Formed in Middlesbrough in 1985 they have recorded a 12" single Nevil Wanless Ep and an album Septober Octember Nowonder, with a string of singles to follow (Beardo Weirdo, Regular Format, Building Society, Memo from Bongo Christ). Live the singer tears around the stage dressed in a mixture of weird and wonderful costumes, hats and animal masks. The band plays a big, primitive garage indie sound. The drummers pound on and everyone's senses are well and truly worked over. Over the years they have played with many bands including Chumbawamba, Canadians No Means No, toured in Holland with Dutch post punk legends The Ex and in Europe with the mighty Sebadoh. Shrug recently released an EP - Shrug in a Quango which became album of the month in Link magazine.
