We were fortunate to catch Sticky fingers at the Turbinia in Newton Aycliffe. The band consists of Mark Evans - Lead Singer, Phil Martin - Lead Guitar, Colin Hird - Bass and Keith Moore - drums. We arrived part way through the first set and the place was already hopping, one thing about The Turbinia you are always gauranteed a great audience!
The thing that struck us the most about the Stickys is the way they totally involve the audience in their performance. Close to the end of the first set Phil climbed over the seats onto the dance floor and proceeded to do a rendition of the Blayden Races on a stool! He was followed onto the dance floor by Colin and the audience were treated to the two of them on their knees giving it rock!
Throughout the whole performance the sound was consistant and rich, Classics such as Breakin the Law, Mistreated and Crazy Train went down well and the Led Zep Medley was awesome!
All in all a fantastic night out, if you get the chance go and see these lads, you won't regret it!
