The ARC, KU Bar and The Georgian Theatre are showcasing a selection of the best local and touring bands on the scene for an all day Festival on Saturday 3rd April from 12pm.

12.15pm - The Vaudeville Class - Brought to you by Bob Fischer, BBC Introducing on BBC Tees - Mad pop-punk band from Peterlee who dress up in top hats and all kinds of oddness.



1.15pm - Jimmy Bullet and the Babyshakers - Blood and guts and dirty punk blues in the style of Stooges and MC5.



2.15pm - Lifeless - Boro's dukes of metal and mayhem "Most exciting new UK thrash band of 2009" Terrorizer.

3.15pm - Russell and the Wolves - Rough and ready garage rock with an explosive stage show. Think the Cramps meets The Pixies!

4.15pm - Jimmy and the Sounds - Catchy anthemic pop tunes from local lads picking up attention from Musos in the big smoke.

5.15pm - The Kiara Elles - Hyperactive indie electro reminiscent of The Long Blondes and The Pipettes.

6.15pm - The Neat - Recalling the Manchester of Morrissey and Marr this Morecambe four-piece rightly stand on their own revolutionary two feet.

8.30pm - Sharks - Pure renegade punk fresh from tours with Gallows and Lost Prophets.

9.45pm - White Belt Yellow Tag - What do you get when you combine former members of Yourcodenameis:milo and The Cooper Temple Clause? Atmospheric, epic killer tunes, that's what.

KU Stage

12.30pm - Cold Pistols - Brought to you by Bob Fischer, BBC Introducing on BBC Tees. Local stalwarts with catchy sounds and song Peter Sellers sounding very like Eels.

1.30pm - The Heavy Dense - Punky vocals and driving rhythm from ex-members of local legends Grandma's House.

2.30pm - Temujin - A three guitared rock assault like if Billy Corgan lived in Teesside… probably.

3.30pm - Soviet Disco - Teesside's very own Radiohead - dark and introspective but then down the road to mad and frenetic! Their song Sheila Tequila is an absolute killer of a song.

4.30pm - Piskie Sits - Distorted indie pop from Wakefield, currently touring with Sam Forrest (Nine Black Alps) to promote their new single Churp, Churp



5.30pm - Pretty Hickeys - Post-punk and Ska-ish with their chanted choruses and sharp-eyed songs of modern life.




6.30pm - Our Secret Sins - This Teesside string laced, synth cult pop troupe have been likened to both Arcade Fire and Kings of Leon, not bad.

7.30pm - Morning Parade - Essex based catchy, quick beat indie band have supported the likes of Reverend and the Makers.

8.45pm - Sound of Guns - Scouse rock 'n' rollers with anthemic, raw guitar riffs and songs, just released new single Alcatraz and being touted as the next big thing by BBC bigwigs.

10pm - Detroit Social Club - Having supported Oasis on their final tour, these boys know how to get a crowd going with their own brand of anthemic indie rock.

ARC Stage

12.45pm - Dean and the Monster - Brought to you by Bob Fischer, BBC Introducing on BBC Tees. Lovely solo acoustic songs with comparisons to Bright Eyes from this Wheretoland singer.

1.45pm - Cattle & Cane - This young-alt folk group from Teesside get things rolling with their shiny eyed sound.



2.45pm - The Ryots - The hardest working band in Teesside offer up the best in soaring guitars and chant along choruses.




3.45pm - Be Quiet. Shout Loud! - Riotous disco beats + a feather boa-flaunting front man = a stunning live show.

4.45pm - Sister Rose - The La's meets Doves with a bluesy twist.

5.45pm - Fly with Vampires - Trademark harmonies, soaring guitars and pounding rhythm section; it’s indie but not as we know.





6.45pm - Dirty Weekend - Teesside's angels with dirty faces offer us tales and philosophies of hard Northern living.




7.45pm - Bicycle Thieves - Hot off the NME Awards Show tour, these Scouse pop dreamers have a fistful of top tunes and they're going to be huge.

9.00pm - Little Comets - Newcastle boys just back from supporting Delphic with feel good, jarring beat pop-rock

10.15pm - The Chapman Family - NME darlings, and Stockton's biggest export, The Chapman Family return to the ARC stage for the first time since their first ever gig. Since that gig these boys have headlined an NME tour, supported La Roux on her national tour, played the main stage at Leeds and Evolution and this year graced SXSW.

To keep you entertained on route between The Georgian Theatre and ARC /KU you can catch some of Stockton's licensed buskers playing from 1pm until 5pm as part of the new street entertainment initiative to help celebrate 700 years of Stockton Market.

What you need to know…

Stockton Calling is an all ages event, under 14's must be accompanied by an adult.

You've bought your ticket (which gives you access to all venues) and you're ready for action but don't forget…

- On the day you will need to exchange your ticket for a wrist band from the Ticket Exchange Point (In Green Dragon Yard).

- You will only gain entry to each venue with a valid, intact wrist band.

- To purchase alcohol from the venues you will need an 18+ wristband. Proof of ID must be provided at the Ticket Exchange Point.

* IT IS AN OFFENCE TO DRINK ALCOHOL IN ALL PUBLIC PLACES IN THE TOWN CENTRE.
